Brick Ball Blast - review

I love brick breaker games, and have been on the lookout for this genre for the last 5 years. Brick Ball Blast has been my most favourite in this genre of games. I like the animations, and the different kind of brick mechanics they have in the game, and the level designs (in most cases). This game has become the most played game in my life so far across all platforms including PC and consoles. The major gripes I have with the game are the fact that the only way to get rid of ads is by subscribing to the game, and that costs a mammoth 620 INR each month. Many AAA titles are available at a one time payment of such a price, and this game demands that price as a monthly subscription. Also, many levels seem to be designed such that one cannot complete the level with the number of lives given, and one will have to watch ads to get extra lives. Overall, it is a game that one will enjoy, but be prepared to get exhausted by the numerous ads that needed to be watched.

Farewell to FIFA 22

It is that time of the year, when we bid adieu to the previous generation of FIFA, and say hello to the new one. I enjoyed playing FIFA 22, although not as much as FIFA 21. I was able to build my FUT team slowly though the year, and get to a stage where I was able to build some insanely good teams by the end of the year. The primary reason for the meta teams were the squad building challenges that EA Sports launched late in the year, where multiple opportunities were given to get a pack of 10 players with 85+ ratings. The outcome was mostly Team of the Year, and Team of the Season players, that made the rating of the teams I was building go through the roof. The Game Awards 2020

Background I have been a fan of video game shows, especially the E3 and The Game Awards. I look forward to both events every year and religiously wake up early in the morning at 5a.m. to watch the shows. I had planned on attending E3 and The Game Awards this year and had planned leaves accordingly, but the pandemic struck. E3 could not take place because it was planned very close to the time when travel was suspended and I imagine that they did not have a back up for such a scenario. The Game Awards on the other hand had close to 9 months to plan it out, and boy did they do an excellent job of it! The show was broadcast on multiple platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, Facebook, Oculus VR, etc.) and they even had tie-ups with Instagram, Twitch, Pokemon Go and TikTok.
